These boots are super cute, but I found them to be really wide around the top and upper calf. I don't have thick calves, but I think they would make even the thinnest of calves look heavy. I wanted these boots for such a long time and was able to snag them at a great price, but regrettably had to send them back. With jeans, etc. worn on the outside they would be fine, but I found them too bulky for wearing leggings or tucked in jeans. Bummer.

These are really nice boots, however they are really long in the shaft. I am 5'3" and the boots came up to my kneecap. The boot is really wide around the top, when I put them on with boot cut jeans, they made the jeans stick out and take the shape of the boot and the jeans would ride up. They would be super for tucking jeans into. I had to return them because I wanted to wear them under my pants. Got the Frye Carmen's instead.

These boots extremely well made and are very comfortable to where all day. For a pull-on this tall they are very easy to put on and take off and hug the foot and leg nicely.

Neat looking boot, nice color. The calf was way to wide for me (size 4) though, so much so that these looked silly on.

This boot is beautiful : such elegant square toe, chunky heel, shiny leather.. I was in love. Than I tried it on - the calve portion is so large it looked like my leg was just protruding from a leather tunnel. Even when I tried to compensate - perhaps thicker socks, perhaps trousers in...it still looked that if it rained my feet would get wet. From above. Something seriously went off with standardization of proportions here. I had to return them. I felt sad to do so since it is really a beautiful boot to look at. If they come with a size narrow calves, I'd buy it again immediately. But, if you have larger calves and had trouble fitting in other boots, I'd recommend those to you.

I have never reviewed a product on Amazon. I HAD to review this because after going to several stores looking for this boot and finally finding it in the correct size I was thrilled! This is by all means a "rugged" boot. I like that she has done the "breaking in" look for you. This is a boot you pull out of the box and looks great, feels great on your legs, and comfortable! I have recently lost a lot of weight and was concerned about my calves (which are very muscular now) fitting into boots. I was very pleased with the fit. I will give you a tip.. The boot runs about a half size too big I tried on a 10, and 9.5 and a 9.0! I did this because I was concerened about what kind of "sock" or trouser sock I would wear, and how hot would my feet get? The size of the boot did matter because of my calves each size made a difference. I could have gone with a 9.5 IF I wanted to wear a "sock" But I live in VA so we only have 3 really cold months and these boots are well insulated. I settled on a size 9.0 med. Because I can wear trouser socks and my feet will be warm but not sweat. The footbed she has in this boot is amazing! I have tried on several of her boots and I will say I was dissapointed in the others, but this one she got it right! Another positive about this boot is the fabric she has used on the inside feels great, silky smooth and no pinching on the legs. Last point.. It looks great with a pair of leggings (This boot is too pretty not to show off the entire boot!) and also great with a pair of jeans! This was an early Christmas gift to me from my husband - and he LOVES them as well! All colors are great tried them all on, and settled with the dusty brown color, goes with everything!

I received the boots and after unpacking both of them I saw that both toes on the Mohogany boots were blackened and stained. In addition, the sizing was small. I was unhappy with the quality for a $197.00 dollar boot and have returned them for a full refund. Hopefully I won't have any problems in getting my money refunded.
